The Roda Group Invests

In late 1997, co-founder Garrett Gruener met with Roger Strauch and Dan Miller who were in the process of founding an early-stage tech investment company, the Roda Group. As one of their first investments, they invested $1 million in Ask Jeeves. Part of their value proposition was that they would actively help manage the company to make it successful.

In November 1997 Ask Jeeves moved into the Roda Group’s new Parker Street offices in Berkeley, California.  Thus began a new chapter in Ask Jeeves story.
